Sunflower Children\u2019s Centre opened in 2002 and remains one of the largest independent nurseries in Sheffield.\u00a0 We are open for newborns to 8 yr olds and strive to exceed expectations and lead the way in everything we do; from the way we develop and support each child to the way we manage and engage our team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Built adjacent and learning to the local primary school in Charnock, our Centre is a stimulating and bright earning environment that supports children, some with discreet learning needs, and their families from the local and surrounding areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Our Response to Covid<\/h1>\n

        We have worked extremely hard to ensure our nursery is a safe place for your children and for our staff during the recent Covid crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Our proactive response to the pandemic ensured our setting was able to operate even during the most difficult times in lockdown, that we retained quality staff and made the setting safe. We invested thousands into PPE, protective screens, deep cleans, issued new safety procedures for drop off and collection and commissioned eight short videos about all the safety measures we were taking.<\/p>\n

        Although much has changed since March 2020, as a team we have never shown more dedication and commitment to achieving excellence in the Centre. It is fair to say we have had a culture change where our staff feel more empowered to make decisions about the way they work, embracing new challenges and pulling together as a team. It has been a difficult time but I could not be prouder of my team, more grateful of the families who continue to send their children to us and of course to the children who continually brighten our day with their smiles, laughter and eagerness to learn.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
