Health and Wellbeing
Our Managers have taken training in Mental Health First Aid at work to support our team. We also offer staff a health and well-being check by an external company every 6 months. Leaders operate an open-door policy so staff always know there is someone to talk to.
We lead by example when promoting well-being in our children. We encourage the use of emotional language, for example, talking to the children about how they are feeling and ensuring they understand that no feelings are wrong. We promote creativity and allow the children to follow their own lead when it comes to their learning experiences. We practice relaxation techniques such as children’s yoga and breathing exercises. We also provide areas where children can sit back, relax and daydream. We are fortunate enough to be close to the countryside, with views of local wildlife and nature.
Our outdoor area provides plenty of space for children to let off steam whilst learning and having fun.
Healthy Meals and Snacks
- Meal and snack times are seen as social events and we understand the importance of these being a learning opportunity for children of all ages. Staff eat with the children to encourage conversation, self-feeding and help reduce anxieties around food. Our older children even start working on self-serve and clear in preparation for Reception.
- Our in-house chefs and state of the art kitchen allow us to provide meals and snacks that are not only delicious but are fully compliant to the Early Years Foundation Stage Nutrition Guidance published by the Department for Education. We operate a 4-week menu cycle that changes with the seasons. We consult our children to ensure their voices are heard and they understand the importance of healthy eating.
- We are able to accommodate a wide range of special diets, please speak to our chefs upon registration if your child has any allergies. All staff have been trained in allergy awareness.
- Charges apply for meals and snacks

Supporting Individual Needs
WE recognise every child as a unique individual taking time to get to know their interests, strengths and need and use this to support their learning and development. Through building positive relationships, we value children’s voices and choices and work closely with families to provide consistent care. Our children feel safe, respected and nurtured in an enabling environment which provides a wide range of experiences to enable children thrive at their own pace.
We value continuous professional development for our highly qualified staff team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide high quality care, support the child’s needs and promote positive outcomes for all.
We do this by
- Introducing techniques such as roleplay, sharing games, and smaller group times to help children with meal times, independent toileting, recognising good/unwanted behaviour and managing self-control.
- By working in smaller groups, we give each child the opportunity to speak and express themselves, to feel confident and learn at their own pace.
- We use our various break out spaces which are quiet spaces with interactive toys and tailored activities and interventions to enable children to regulate their emotions, build their confidence and develop their skills.
- While at Nursery your child will receive their two-year progress check in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
We work closely with local schools and other professional services such as Speech and Language, 0-5 SEND and to ensure all children get the most out of nursery and are ready for their next stage.
We are here to help parents receive the funding
they are entitled to and help with any application processes
